Manderson welcomes 24th EMBA Class

The University of Alabama’s Manderson Graduate
School of Business welcomed its 24th Executive MBA Class on Saturday,
October 27. Thirty-six students, along with guests, met in Alston Hall for this
year’s incoming orientation for the EMBA Class of 2009.
A brief overview of companies sponsoring incoming
graduates include: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Johnson Controls, U.S. Army, CMC
Impact Metals, Chevron, Biocryst, DRS Test & Energy Management, BE&K
Engineering, Southern Company, Kohler, Weyerhaeuser, Charter Communications,
M&H Valve Company, Washington Group International, W.R. Grace, ADTRAN,
Tronox, BP Decatur Works, AT&T, Cerner Corporation, and Siemens.
Applications were up 60% this year for the EMBA
Program which limits seating to maximize the corporate roundtable experience
and approach to learning. The EMBA Program is designed for mid- to
senior-level managers who are responsible for leading their companies.
